The University Bookstore will begin offering Student Licenses for some Microsoft Software.
Please NOTE: you must be a registered student at Appalachian State University to purchase a Microsoft Software License, and sign a Microsoft Licensing Agreement before purchasing the Licensed Software.(Click Here to download the Microsoft Student License Agreement 6.5- fill out, sign and mail or fax the CERTIFICATION sheet in with your software order). If you are ordering a hardware software bundle you can complete the form when come in to pick up the licensed software.

The University Bookstore is providing an accessory package for your computer purchase. This package is formulated for either a laptop or desktop computer. Each contains the version of Microsoft Office (Professional for Windows, Student for Macintosh) and a security cable for laptops. Below is the price of the Accessory Package for desktop and laptops for Windows or the Macintosh.

Software Policies:
- The University requires all university computers on campus to have a legal copy or license for the software on that computer.
- Personal home copies must be purchased by the individual from the University Bookstore or an authorized vendor or reseller.
- The University Bookstore's policy for the return of software is:
- Return must be made with original receipt within seven (7) days of the purchase
- Software must be unopened unless the software is damaged.
- Warranties and licenses are provided by the manufacturer of the software and all guarantees and money back promises are to be provided directly by the software manufacturer.
- We have access to most any Vendor for software and hardware.
- There may or may not be an ACADEMIC version of software or hardware selection.
- We can work with most vendors directly or through a distributor to find a product.
- We can not always get a product because of a requirement for authorization or volume purchasing agreement from a company.
